With the commissioning of its new DMC 125 FDS-4, M.A.T. Malmedie Antriebstechnik GmbH is investing in the modernisation of its manufacturing operations at the Solingen site. The new machine expands production capacity, increases flexibility in production planning and provides the foundation for reliable order fulfilment, even as requirements continue to rise.

The DMC 125 FDS-4 will be used primarily to machine components for drum couplings and gear couplings. These include housings, hubs, internal gears and external gears. Additional capacity and optimised manufacturing processes provide greater flexibility in production planning, particularly for complex projects and during periods of high capacity utilisation.

Greater quality and capacity in manufacturing

The DMC 125 FDS-4 combines milling, turning and gear-cutting technologies in a single machine. This allows several machining steps to be integrated into one process.

The additional capacity creates greater flexibility in production planning and supports stable and efficient manufacturing operations.

The new machine ensures a high level of process reliability and repeatability. This enables demanding components to be manufactured consistently with the high degree of precision for which MALMEDIE has been known for decades.

The DMC 125 FDS-4 also features an ECO mode that reduces energy consumption. Together with the consolidation of multiple machining steps, this helps to use resources more efficiently and reduce the energy required per component.

Investing in people and expertise

Alongside the new machine, MALMEDIE is investing in the professional development of its employees. As part of a multi-stage training programme, the responsible teams are being prepared to operate the DMC 125 FDS-4 safely and efficiently.

In addition to machine operation, the training covers tool management, measurement technology, control functions and gear-cutting technology. In this way, MALMEDIE is strengthening its in-house manufacturing expertise and securing the knowledge required for the long-term use of the new technology.

Ready for the future together

With the DMC 125 FDS-4, MALMEDIE is strengthening its manufacturing expertise at the Solingen site and creating additional capacity to meet future requirements. Modern manufacturing technology, qualified employees and efficient processes provide the foundation for continuing to deliver demanding projects reliably and to the highest quality standards.
